my home grown clicker super star

Have had a great time following all these interesting and vrey
detailed discussions - you all bring so many wonderful insights and
explanations to this group!-

I have spent a lot of time with increased rate of reinforcement with head lowering on the ground during grooming, saddling etc. And under saddle have also practiced high rate of reinforcment for the 3-flip-3 exercise- I would say that his relaxation has been gradually increasing but these exercises or parts of them served as my main focus over the last 2 months.

I used to have a REALLY REALLY emotional fearful horse so the past 2 days have been magical- Yesterday I had a friend who through injury of horses and her own illness was without a horse to ride and not having ridden in past 2 weeks- she happpily got on my horse and I asked her to explore my horse"s(Grin's) buttons re SRR and her udnerstanding of John Lyons work- - WHAT A GREAT PICTURE- she found it all "in there" just like in the book- and with a little coaching- (some centered riding focus on her body dynamics) she had a fabulous ride on my horse- LIGHT
LIGHT LIGHT- CALM CALM CALM- FOCUSED FOCUSED FOCUSED-

I got on him today and the results of this focus on these two exercises has been nothing short of amazing to me- After my ride today- another friend wanted to get on him- and he gave her the same wonderful feels- I have a horse who now can be confident enough and well trained enough to share this with others - I know this is just the tip of the "next iceberg"- but what a great view from here!

HOpe you all can enjoy the process and its results -(this is the part of stay with something long enough to see all the good things it can give you pg 156)
